Ronnie Bevel Ronnie Glenn Bevel, 72, of Fort Payne, passed away Monday, December 15, 2025. Ronnie was known as “a muffler man.” For over 30 years, he owned and operated A-1 Muffler and before that B&R Muffler. He was an avid golfer, hunter, and cattleman. He was the pastor of Pumpkin Center Baptist Church. Ronnie loved his Lord, his family, and others – he often ended phone calls with friends with an “I love you” and he meant it. His love for others came from his love for the Lord.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Clark and Bro. Larry McKinney officiating. Burial will follow at Fischer Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4 until 7 p.m.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years Becky Bevel; daughter Stephanie Singley and husband Chris; son Wes Bevel and wife Jessica; grandchildren Claire Singley, Thomas Singley, Olivia Bevel (Jacob), Xander Morgan, Bentley Morgan, Wyatt Bevel, Gannon Bevel, and Madilynn Bevel; sisters Cindy Watts (Buck), Carol Wilbanks; brother Tim Bevel (Shelli); special brothers-in-Christ Carl Kilgore, RJ Pendegrass, and Larry McKinney; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father George Bevel, mother Essie B. Watkins; brothers Gerald, Herman, and George Bevel and Johnny Thompson, and sister Wilma Bevel.

Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory of Fort Payne is in charge of services.
