Ronald Young, age 73 of Jasper, Alabama went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Princeton Hospital surrounded by the love of his family after suffering with a lengthy health battle.
“Ronnie” as he was known to those who knew him, lived a full and meaningful life marked by dedication to his family, service to his country, and a lifetime of hard work.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his Grandparents-Joshua and Geneva Kilgore Bonner, Calvin and Jessie Lloyd Young; Parents-Clarence and Estelle Bonner Young, and Grandson-Colter Jaxon Young.
He is survived by his loving Wife of fifty one years-Ruth Marie Boue Young; Daughter-Shonda Partain (Mark); Son-Tyler Young (Cassidy); Grandchildren-Riley Partain (Tamra), Peyton Partain, Logan Partain, Ansley Partain, and Creed Young; Great granddaughter-Lilah Jane Partain; Mother-in-law-Amy Files; Sisters-in-law-Paulette Sharp and Karen Ackerman; Special life long-friend Milton Bowden.
An Army and National Guard veteran, Ronnie served his country with pride for a total of fifteen years. Ronnie retired from ACIPCO in Birmingham, Alabama where he worked in special products. He was a lover of music and played the drums for more than twenty years with a popular local band called “The Fugitives”. He spent his final years fishing and traveling with his wife to many of their favorite destinations. Holidays with his family were among his favorite times and he especially looked forward to Christmas as he was “Santa Claus” to many.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 p.m.. Funeral services will be on Wednesday November 19, 2025 with a visitation time of 12:00-2:00 p.m. Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with graveside prayer to immediately follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. J.D. Dickerson will officiate.
Mark Partain, Riley Partain, Peyton Partain, Logan Partain, and Donnie Partain will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Milton Bowden and Thomas Roden.
