Funeral services for Ronald Wood, 75 of Corinth are set for Friday, August 23, 2024 at 2pm with Military Honors at Magnolia Funeral Home – EAST with interment in Rock Hill Pentecostal Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 5pm-8pm and Friday, August 23, 2024 from 12pm-2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home – EAST. Bro. Keith Driskell will officiate the service with Paul Crider and Harley Markle sharing family comments. Pallbearers will be Mark Cummings, Paul Crider, Steve Hamlin, Timothy Williams, Danny Sharp and Lonnie Haynie. Honorary pallbearer will be Eddie Price. Born March 16, 1948 in Corinth, MS., Mr. Wood passed from this life on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was of the Baptist faith. Ronald was a retired manager of Ben’s Texaco. He loved his family and enjoyed family get togethers and spending time with them. He was an avid Ole Miss fan, NASCAR fan and WWE Wrestling fan who also enjoyed cooking chicken, going to Pickwick, working word search puzzles, fishing, and antique cars. Ronald is survived by his wife 24 years, Lori Wood; daughters, Melissa Williams (Timothy), Rhonda Markle (Paul Crider) and Victoria Nulph; 4 grandchildren, Madison Butler, Skylar Cummings (Mark), Harley Markle and Dakota Markle; one great grandchild, Journey Lagunes; brother-in-law, Steve Hamlin; the mother of Melissa and Rhonda, Linda Hosey (Sam); other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Virgil Wood; mother, Mary Bell Wood; brother, Robert Gerald Wood (Joyce); son-in-law, Shannon Markle; father-in-law, Larry Hamlin (who performed Ronald and Lori’s wedding) and his mother-in-law, Diane Hamlin.
