The funeral service for Ronald T. Headrick, age 63 of Sumiton, formerly of Lineville, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Rev. Bob Bain officiating. Burial will follow in the Lineville City Cemetery.
Mr. Headrick passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018 at his home in Sumiton. He was a native and long-time resident of Clay County and a former resident of Goodsprings, AL. Mr. Headrick was a graduate of Lineville High School – Class of 1973 and had worked as truck driver. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of Christiana Baptist Church.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Wanda Headrick of Lineville; three daughters: Vanessa Whitman (Jimmy) of Alexander City, Kristy Ford (Michael) of Dora and Niki Hubbard (Robby) of Sumiton; one sister, Beverly East (Danny) of Sharpsburg, GA; four grandchildren: Bubba Sanford, Paige Sanford, Bella Hubbard and Jase Hubbard; two step-grandchildren: Justin and Caitlin Morris; one nephew, Shawn East (Jennifer); two nieces: Chandra East and Tonya Johnson and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Grady Thomas Headrick and Margaret Vaudria Reynolds Headrick; his wife, Kathy Headrick and his son, Thad Headrick.
Pallbearers will be Danny East, Shawn East, Robby Hubbard, Bubba Sanford, Cody Williamson and Justin Morris. Honorary pallbearers will be Jase Hubbard and Jacob Watts.
