Ronald Steven “Steve” Wright, age 73 of Dora, passed away February 3, 2022. He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Wright; mother, Violet Ethel Wright and brother James Edward Wright. Steve is survived by his sons, Chris Wright (Tracy), Jack Wright (Amanda), Steven Wright (Brittney) and Peter Wright (Candace); sister, Olga Tanner (Ronnie); 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was a diehard Atlanta Braves baseball and Auburn football fan. Steve loved classic cars, fishing and watching his grandchildren play sports. Steve worked in the coal mines for 40+ years. He had many friends and was blessed to impact many lives. Steve was a wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. Funeral services to honor his life will be held at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. Visitation will be from 1-2pm, chapel service will begin at 2pm with burial following in McCormack Cemetery. Bishop Bruce LeVan officiating.
