Ronald “Ronnie” Edwin Austin II – Obituary

Ronald “Ronnie” Edwin Austin II, 47, passed away after a brief illness, on Monday, Jan. 30, 2017, at USA Medical Center, Mobile, Alabama.

Born in Florence, Alabama, he relocated to the Mobile area in 1982. He attended Theodore High School. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve.

Ronnie loved all things Alabama football related. He was a talented craftsman and grill master. He thoroughly enjoyed music, especially Elvis, and was known to give an entertaining karaoke performance. He was a car enthusiast and, above all, he loved his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Kellie Austin; mother and stepfather, Deborah and James Hovater; father and stepmother, Ronald and Faye Austin; maternal grandmother, Kathleen Gasque Aycock; aunt, Lacey Gasque Sexton; and aunt, Elizabeth Austin Roberson. He is also survived by his daughter, Autumn Austin; sons, Chase Hall, Alec Austin, Alex Rooney, Koby Austin, and Gabriel Austin; sisters, Cindy Austin Babin (Randy) and Tina Austin; and brothers, Heath Austin (Ali), Corey Austin, and Jacob Austin.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lacy Frank Gasque; grandmother, Marie Vandiver Woodley; and aunt, Kathy Gasque Slusher.

Service was a private memorial held for family and friends.

Memorial gifts may be given in Ronnie’s honor to the American Heart Association, 1101 Northchase Parkway, Suite 1 Marietta, GA 30067-6411.
