Ronald Robert Ricchi, 85, of Huntsville, passed away Friday. Ron was a faithful member of Madison Baptist Church, and was vocal in sharing his faith and faithful in praying for others. He was also known for his humor and tenacious spirit.
He was born in Pittsfield, MA, but was a longtime Huntsville resident. He served in the US Army from February 1953 to January 1955, stationed in Hawaii. He made a career in electronics sales.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Edna Rials Ricchi; children, Rick Ricchi (Rebecca) of Jacksonville, FL, Ray Ricchi (Stephanie) of McKinney, TX, and Michelle Ricchi of Simpsonville, SC; stepchildren, Cheryl Clausen (John), Melisa Good (Jim), and Mark McCombs (Jonnianne); 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Mary Ricchi.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 26 at Madison Baptist Church, 840 Balch Road, Madison, AL. The funeral service will follow at the church with Dr. Mike Allison officiating.
