Ronald Leon “Big Ron” O’Neill, age 59 of Empire, passed away on Monday April 19, 2021 at his residence.
Big Ron was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. He loved to cook, and was the former owner of the Fish House restaurant in Sipsey. He was an avid lover of animals and also loved to work on cars.
Funeral services will be Thursday April 22, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Bruce LeVan will officiate. Burial will follow in Little Vine Cemetery. Visitation is from 1-2 pm at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lindsey O’Neill; mother, Donna Jo “Mamie” Barger; his dad, William O’Neill; his birth father, Joseph Cain and his brother, Tim O’Neill.
Survivors include his children, Ron O’Neill (Sunny), Hope O’Neill Fite (William) and Joshua O’Neill (Brianna Eady); grandchildren, Cayden and Garrison O’Neill and Willow and Rosemary Fite; sister, Sheila Mayberry (Lonnie); nieces, Elizabeth and Katherine Mayberry and Stephanie Fowler; nephew, Stephen O’Neill; life long friend, Belinda Burks; several other relatives and many friends.
