Ronald Lee Trousdale “Capt. Ron”, the Mayor of the North Shore of Lynn Haven, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016. Capt. Ron was born in Sheffield, AL, and lived in Bay County for the last 13 years. He was Human Resources Manager for Keeton Corrections, Panama City, FL. An avid University of Alabama fan (Roll Tide!), Capt. Ron loved boating, golf, and entertaining family and friends. His afternoon cocktail sunset cruise and boat horn will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Angie Trousdale of Lynn Haven; his children, Torey Trousdale (Tanya) of Muscle Shoals, AL, Caitlyn Trousdale of Huntsville, AL, and Chris Capps (Rona) of Prattville, AL; a brother, Jerry Trousdale (Jerri) of Killen, AL; his sister, Brenda Tease of Florence, AL; and his beloved grandchildren, Ryan Trousdale, Jordan Capps, Katie McCarthy, Bain Trousdale and Lilly McCarthy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A gathering and celebration of Ronald’s life will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. Flowers will be accepted, or contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 653 W. 23rd St., Panama City, FL 32405, in memory of Ronald L. Trousdale.
