Ronald Lee Sheppard, of Georgia, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2026, at the age of 50. He was born on November 17, 1975, to Delois Swanson and the late Ronald Sheppard.
Ronald was a hardworking man who spent many years in construction, a career he was very proud of. He was known for being straightforward, loud, outspoken, and never afraid to speak his mind. Beneath his tough exterior was a loving man who treasured his family and enjoyed spending time with those closest to him.
He was a diehard fan of Georgia Bulldog football and Atlanta Braves baseball. He loved bowling, softball, video games, and, more recently, disc golfing with his sister and brother-in-law. Ronald was also a man of faith. Although he did not always openly share that part of himself, he believed in God and had given his life to Him years ago.
Ronald was a proud father to Grayling, Zachary, Austin, and Brittany, and he was looking forward to becoming a grandfather for the first time, with his first grandchild on the way.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Delois Swanson (TC), his children: Grayling, Zachary, Austin (Kiera), and Brittany; his siblings, Chrissy Burrell (Jacob), Brad Tedder (Edeliz), Jerry Tedder, Sylvia Davis, and Rashanda Davis, a long list of nieces and nephews, and many others he considered brothers and sisters. Ronald was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Sheppard.
A memorial service to honor the life of Ronald will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 13, 2026 in the chapel at Cremation Services of East Alabama, 733 White Plains Road, Anniston, AL.
Ronald will be remembered for his strong personality, his honesty, his sense of humor, his love for his family, and the many memories he created with those who loved him. Though he is no longer with us, his memory and the love he gave will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
