Mr. Ronald Lee Neale age 75 of McMinnville, TN died Sunday, December 26, 2021, at Ascension St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was born December 07, 1946, in Alliance, OH, served as a part of the 6th Special Forces Division with the U.S. Army, worked as a foreman with Walker Sod Farms, and was a member of Northside Baptist Church. Ron was a hard worker and took pride in his work teaching his sons to have a strong work ethic, was an avid Civil War reenactor and was part of the 8th Tennessee Infantry “The Camargo Guards”, enjoyed genealogy and was considered the family Historian. He adored his grandchildren and was a family-oriented man, loved ALL of his family, enjoyed telling stories, and had previously taught Sunday school. He was preceded in death by his parents J. H. Neale and Annie Rosetta Walker Hickerson.

 

Survivors include his wife of 45 years Kathy Moore Neale, sons Jonathan Heath (Lesley) Neale and Christopher Lee (Hilary) Neale, grandchildren Emma Caroline Neale and Eli Carter Neale, and several aunts and uncles and his special aunt Juanita Parthenia Walker Cantrell – known as “Aunt Bunnie”.

 

The funeral service for Mr. Neale will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, December 30, 2021, at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Melonie Turner will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. Military Grave Rites will be administered by American Legion Post 173 and V.F.W. Post 5064. The Neale family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and again on Thursday from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at McMinnville Funeral Home.
