Ronald Eric “Ronnie” Pike – Obituary

Mr. Ronald Eric “Ronnie” Pike, 63, died Monday, October 24, 2016, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS following an extended illness. He was born January 8, 1953 to Wallace G. Pike and Lilly O. Carrico Pike in Lufkin, TX where he spent most of his life. He attended and was of graduate of Red Bay High School in Red Bay, AL. He retired after many years of being a salesman, primarily in the automobile industry. He was a gifted singer, song-writer and musician who loved entertaining. Ronnie was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan from childhood. He never met a stranger and had a great sense of humor, never with a lack of words. His final wish came true on September 28, 2016, which was to return home to be with his children and grandchildren in Alabama and Mississippi. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his sons, Randy Pike (Shannon) of Russellville, AL, Rick Pike (Dena) of Tupelo, MS, and Eric Toomer (Kara) of Jayess, MS; his daughters, Rhonda Pike Gresham (Jeff) of Red Bay, AL, and Lacy Pike Sherrill (Jonathan) of Town Creek, AL; brother, J.D. Pike of Lufkin, TX; sister, Sheila Garner (Randy) of Lufkin, TX; nine grandchildren, Brooke Gresham, Dylan Gresham, Ryan Pike, Jonah, Isaiah, and Zola Pike, Kayleigh, Kennedy, and Easton Luke Sherrill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Robert Guy Pike and three sisters, Doretta Jane Pike, Kimberly Pike Hicks and Sundi Pike Collins.
A private memorial service will be held in Red Bay, AL for the family. Holland Funeral Directors, Tupelo Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
