Ronnie RichardsonRonald Aubrey Richardson peacefully passed from his earthly life into the arms of Jesus at 1:38am on May 12, 2024.

He was at home surrounded by his family, just as he wished.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, Reverend David and Patsy Richardson.

Ronnie is survived by his steadfast wife, Leann and their loyal son, Aubrey and a sister, Nancy Cottle.

Other family, friends and the community mourn his passing as well. He was loved by so many.

Ronnie was lovingly known as, Pops, Double R, Uncle Ronnie, Radio Ronnie, Uncle Double, Big Ron and WD4BSU.

He worked for Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) as a communications engineer. He worked closely with the state troopers to keep all of their communications working properly. He took great pride in his work and served Alabama for 30 years doing what he loved to do. That’s a job well-done.

To know Ronnie is to love him. He was a gentle soul with a big warm smile and boisterous laugh. He loved his family with a fierce, strong love. He was an amazing provider and meticulously planned his retirement to ensure his family would live well without him. He would do without so his family could prosper.

Ronnie knew the Lord as his personal savior. He is with Jesus and the precious family that has gone before him. As his wife and friend, I am so proud of him. Life wasn’t easy at times. But Ronnie has run the race set before him with such bravery, dignity and strength. He is a great example to all. My hero. My best friend. My Ronnie. Well done. You have finished strong.
