Ron Klassen, 83, of Huntsville, passed away Tuesday. Ron was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. He graduated with a degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University and retired from government service with the Ballistic Missile Defense program where he served as chief engineer on the Sar Wars program under President Reagan. He was a loving and supportive father.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Hilda Klassen; daughter, Ronda Klassen; one brother; and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21st, at the funeral home chapel with Sherill Clontz officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. at Forrest Cemetery in Gadsden.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association or the Huntsville Humane Society.
