Bro. Ron Denison, age70, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022 in Jackson. He was born June 8, 1952 in Memphis to the late Barry Washington Denison and Hessie Mae Maness Denison. He served as a minister for 43 years, the last four years at Hope Independent Baptist Church. He loved God’s Word and preached from memory. He attended Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, where he met his wife, Cindy. They married on August 4, 1979 and have been together for a total of 45 years. He loved roller coasters and enjoyed riding them in various places where he traveled. He was witty with an uncanny memory and loved all types of trivia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and the father who raised him, Hillard Holt; his son, Aaron Lynn Denison; brother, Paul Denison; four sisters, Nancy McElvain, Nola Vee Wood, Patricia Prater, and Alice Marie Denison.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Mrs. Cindy Schwartz Denison; his daughter, Rachel Beavers (Thomas); two brothers, Cole Denison (Betty) and Jim Denison (Shelby); two sisters, Nancy Rodiquez (Bob) and Helen Caldwell (Earl); and three grandchildren, Casey Burns (Mikaylyn), Matthew Blankenship, and Adam Beavers.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3 PM, Wednesday, November 2, 2022 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Lexington Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday 10 AM until time of service at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Wounded Warriors or Tower to Towers.
