Mr. Roman Hernandez, Sr., age 58, of Rock Island, TN passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026 surrounded by his loved ones at his residence. He was born on August 09, 1967 in Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato. He enjoyed his work as a farmer and was a devoted member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in McMinnville. He could do just about anything he set his mind to. In his free time, he enjoyed being outside in his garden. Roman loved listening to music and playing with his beloved dog. He would often times take a joy ride in his 1997 Ford Bronco, which was his favorite car. He was a family man and cherished every minute spent with those he loved.
Survivors include his wife of almost 21 years Teresa Hernandez, children Sarah Clanton and her husband Billy, Charles Hernandez, and Roman Hernandez, Jr., and siblings Juan, Enrique, Alicia, Dolores, Jesus, Isidoro, Lupe, Antonio, Luz, and Jose. He is preceded in death by his parents Antonio Hernandez and Hermenegilda Mendez Hernandez.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, May 01, 2026 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. in the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial is scheduled for 10:30 A.M. Saturday, May 02, 2026 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church. Everyone will meet at the church on Saturday as there will be no service at the funeral home.
