Royce was born on April 25, 1963 in Birmingham, AL to Richard and Delora Sides and grew up in the small community of Forestdale, Alabama. To his family, he was a loving husband, father, and Paw Paw who could be counted on for a quick laugh, sound advice, and a quick pinch or tickle. To the community, he was a valued small business owner and talented, hard-working mechanic who was considered by his clients as a friend and mentor. He enjoyed working with cars, trucks, and motorcycles, and was happiest when riding his Harley or simply relaxing at home with his wife, children, and a lapful of grandchildren. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Royce is survived by his wife Mary of Arley, AL; sons Kevin Cole Williams of Arley, AL and Casey Owen Sides and his wife Brandi of Jasper, AL; daughter Candice Marie Lowe and her husband Tony of Arley, AL; and grandchildren Bentley Michael Williams, Kalie Marie Lowe, Weston Cole Williams, Ava Kinsley Lowe, Layken Nicole Williams, Asher Lane Lowe, and Connor Wyatt Sides. He is also survived by his parents Richard and Delora Sides of Ashville, AL; sister Teresa McComb and her husband Greg of Hayden, AL; and brother Ricky Sides and his wife Kayla of Hayden, AL. Royce also leaves behind nieces, nephews, and a long list of cherished friends.
