Roland Neal Walker, 66 of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023, at Embrace Hospice House in Myrtle Beach. Roland was born October 30, 1956 in Boaz the son of Reverend Joe F. Walker and Alla Fay Mayo Walker. He was a graduate of West End High School Class of 1975 and received his master’s degree from Auburn University. He was a Professor at Horry-Georgetown College and Coastal Carolina University, until his retirement in January.
He is survived by his sister: Deborah Brown, husband: Paul; brother: Leland Walker, wife: Kristi; nephews and niece: Chris Brown, Kevin Brown (Caitlyn), Andrew Walker (Malerie) and Karli Walker; great nieces: Kensley Brown and Moriah Walker.
Graveside Service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 25, 2023, at the Aurora Cemetery, Boaz, Alabama with Brother Jimmy Umphrey officiating, Gober Funeral Chapel directing.
