Roger Williamson, 77, of Florence, AL, passed away on Sunday December 21, 2025 after a short illness. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
Roger was an avid outdoorsman who had a love for fishing, nature, and animals. He had a passion for collecting antique cars. He also enjoyed cooking and loved to create meals that brought family and friends together.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Sybil Williamson; brother, Ricky Williamson; sister-in-law, Mary Nell Atwell.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda Lindsey Williamson; daughter, Courtney James; granddaughter, Mary Halen James; brothers, Lawayne Williamson, Jan Williamson (Tamera); sister-in-law, Mae Lindsey Friar (Richard); brother-in-law, Robert Atwell; and a host of nieces and nephews.
As he was a Christian, the family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Wesley Foundation Campus Ministry at the University of North Alabama, P.O. Box 5293, Florence, AL, 35632.
Colbert Memorial will be assisting the family.
