Funeral for Roger Otto Hensley, 61, of Danville, will be Monday, July 22, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Richard Sport and The Reverend Jack Bailey officiating, with burial at Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Hensley was born January 28, 1952, to Otto and Mildred Lynne Hensley in Lawrence County. He died July 20, 2013, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. Mr. Hensley was a member of Danville Church of Christ. He retired as a Chemical Operator from 3M after 35 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Hensley; one son, Adam Roger (Laura Leigh) Hensley of Priceville; one daughter, Laura Ann (Matthew Edward) Hasselman of Danville; and a niece that is considered as a daughter, Christy Beard Simmons of Falkville; three brothers, Jackie Hensley, William Hensley, and Wade Hensley; and three grandchildren, Abby Hensley, Elle Hensley and Maddie Hensley.
