Mr. Roger Mastin, Sr. was born on December 9, 1954, to the late Nehemiah Mastin and Bessie Mae Dillworth Mastin. He was the third of seven. He departed this life on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nehemiah Mastin and Bessie Mae Dillworth Mastin; his wife, Flavia Mastin; two sisters, Juanita and Stephanie Mastin; one brother, Author Lee Mastin.
Roger was a man who loved the Lord and followed in his steps. He professed a belief in Christ and accepted Him as his personal Savior at an early age and was a member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in Leighton, Alabama.
Roger graduated from the Colbert County High School in 1973. He was a Mill Operator at Flexco for 30 years.
Roger is survived by his loving son, Roger Mastin, II of Leighton, Alabama; one stepdaughter, Lisa Mullins King; four granddaughters, Lambria Ford, Lenia Mullins, Dorothea King, and Morgan King; three grandsons, X’Zavier Mastin, Joshua Mullins, and Harold King, Jr.; three sisters, Valerie (John) Summerhill of Florence, AL, Margaret (Clifton) Jackson of Tuscumbia, AL, and Deborah (Jim) Johnson of Tuscumbia, AL; two brothers, Larry Muhammad of Leighton, Alabama and Dexter (Carolyn) Mastin of Leighton, Alabama; a brother-in-law, Lemle Mullins of Leighton, Alabama; a very special lady friend and caregiver, Eddress White; a special loving and caring nephew, Jarre L. Mastin of Fayetteville, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
