Mr. Roger Keith Sherman, age 73, of Arab, Alabama passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Huntsville Hospital. Roger was born on October 25, 1951, in California. His parents were Leland Roger Sherman and Myrtle May McWilliams Sherman. He was married to Joy Lee Jones Sherman for over forty-seven years. He was a member of Victory Cornerstone Church. Roger had earned his bachelor’s degree and had served with the US Coast Guard. He retired from Lockheed Martin Corporation where he was employed as a Welder Engineer, designing, planning and implementing welding processes to meet specifications and safety guidelines.
Roger enjoyed being with his family, reading, a good steak dinner, and running a handman business.
Roger is survived by his wife, Joy Sherman; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Jason Gardenour; grandchild, Emalyn Carter; brother, Randy Sherman; sisters, Carol Johnston (Bob), Nancy Piercy, Jayne Rath and Elizabeth Vernon.
In addition to his parents, Leland and Myrtle Sherman, Roger is preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Sherman.
The family has chosen to honor his wishes regarding cremation with a memorial service to be announced when plans are finalized. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel entrusted with arrangements.
