Roger Dennis Murphree, age 81, passed away Sunday, Nov. 8, 2015. Visitation will be today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel, with service to follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be at Greenhill Cemetery. He was retired from the city of Muscle Shoals and was a business owner and commercial pilot.
He was preceded in death by parents, Henry Oscar and Ethel Murphree; brothers, Athel and Alden; and sisters, Avis and Mavis.
Survivors are wife, Johnnie Marie Murphree; sons, Roger Glenn Murphree and Henry Edmond Murphree II; daughter, Camilla Denise Murphree; grandchildren, Niko Herston and Skylar Lee; and brother, Gene Murphree.
Pallbearers will be Mike Jones, Ronnie Jones, Gary Ledlow, Bubba Taramangos, Joe Gronek, Gary Mansell and Mike Murphree. Honorary pallbearers are Allen Alsobrooks and Ed Powell.
