Roger Dale Parrish, age 76, of Russellville, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Tupelo Mississippi Medical Center.
Roger was a hard worker, and he loved to hunt. He loved the Lord and especially loved to sit in his recliner and read God’s work. He was a wonderful dad and grandfather and loved his family very much. We will cherish his memory forever
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Audrey & Marie (Miller) Parrish, and sister, Phyllis Mims.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 58 years, Rachel Parrish; children & grandchildren, Mark Parrish, Kimberly McKinney, Shelby McKinney, Jeremy Parrish (Erin), Thomas McKinney, Charlie McKinney, James Borden; great-grandchildren, Cassius Parrish, Annalyen Parrish, Jaiden Parrish, siblings, Tommy Parrish (Eunelda), Gary Parrish (Becky), Joan Pearson (Frank), Greg Parrish (Dina), Randy Parrish (Anita); and a host of nieces & nephews.
The visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with Sister Pearl Shelton and Bro. Joe Wilson officiating the service. The burial will be at Dempsey Cemetery.
The pallbearers will be Thomas McKinney, Jake Cooper, Steven Mills, Randy Parrish, Greg Parrish, Gary Parrish, Cade Parrish, and James Borden. The honorary pallbearers will be Charlie McKinney and Donnie Hargett.
