Roger Dale Naylor, age 80 years, 10 months passed away at his home on Monday, February 17, 2025. Funeral services will be held at Southwest Baptist Church on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at 11:30 A.M. with Brother Greg Burcham and Brother Herb Statham officiating.
Roger is survived by his wife of 48 years, Elizabeth Thompson Naylor; sons, Gary Naylor (Lisa), Bart Naylor and Stepson, Jeff Shelton (Laura); Siblings, Mary Spillers, Margaret Jackson, Marshall Naylor, and Windell Naylor; five grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
Roger retired after thirty-two years of service at Chemstrand, Monsanto, Solutia in Decatur, Alabama. He was a valued member of Southwest Baptist Church where he was always willing to do whatever was needed. He will be missed by all of his brothers and sisters in Christ.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made in Roger’s name to Amedisys Foundation at 725 Beltline Road, S.W, Suite “D”, Decatur, Alabama 35601 or Southwest Baptist Church, 1705 Ridgedale Road S.W., Hartselle, Alabama 35640.
The family also wishes to thank Amedisys Hospice for their compassionate care for Roger during this time in his life.
