Roger Dale McGee – Obituary

Roger Dale McGee, 66, of Athens, died Friday, July 10, 2015. His visitation will be Saturday, July 18, 2015 afrom 10 am until 11 am at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. His memorial service will immediately follow at 11 am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Piney Grove Cemetery.

Mr. McGee was a native of Tuscumbia, Alabama. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Vietnam War were he received two Purple Hearts and numerous other medals. He was a member of The American Legion, Athens Post. He was a former member of the Church of God in Rogersville, Alabama. He was a member of the first graduating class of Colbert Heights High School. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard H. and Gladys McGee; and his sister, Marilyn Bean McGee.

He is survived by his brothers, Howard McGee, Jr. and Bob W. McGee; sister, Janice James; one niece; eleven nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

So sorry for your loss. We never will understand completely Gods plan, but He has reasons for all things that happen. May your family find peace in your memories of Dale and always look to God for He is faithful. Praying for you and remembering you all at this time. Robert and Diane Williams
