Roger Dale Brown Sr.Roger Dale Brown Sr. passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. Born in Bruce, MS, Roger spent his early life in the Delta and his adult life in Randolph/Springville. He dedicated his career to working in his sawmill, furniture factories, and hauling campers and hickory until his retirement. In his retirement, Roger enjoyed piddling around and spending cherished moments with his grandchildren, Jadyn and Camdyn. He had a passion for showing horses, playing golf, auctioneering, and hunting.

Roger is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Dawn Brown of Pontotoc, MS; his sons, Jason Brown of Tupelo, MS, and Roger Brown Jr. (Amy) of Sherman, MS; his brother, Gene Kennedy of TN; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and his nephew, Forest Putman of MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elson and Berlene Rea Brown; his sisters, Faye Hyland and Janet Tull; his brother, Delane Brown; his son, Brent Bailey Sr.; and his grandson, Joseph Bailey.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, with visitation starting at 12:00pm and the funeral at 2:00pm at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Carey Springs Cemetery. The services will be officiated by Bro. Wayne Cobb, with pallbearers Leamon Martinez, Colton Harville, Tony Bailey, Randy Mooneyham, Tommy Peeples, and Jamie Peeple.
