Roger Anthony Halbrooks, 68 of Arab passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Crestwood Medical Center. Roger was born September 18, 1955 in Guntersville, the son of Curtis Gene Halbrooks and Margie Lawrence Halbrooks. He was a graduate of Arab High School Class of 1974, attended Wallace State Community College and later graduated from the Police Academy at Jacksonville. He was a retired Sherrif’s Deputy for the Marshall County Sherrif’s Office and a member of the NRA.
He is survived by his sons: Dustin Halbrooks (Jennifer) and Daniel Halbrooks (Danielle); five grandchildren; sister: Lesa Greenwood and a brother: Darryl Amenrud; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife: Debra Lang Halbrooks and his parents: Curtis Gene Halbrooks and Margie Amenrud.
The family has chosen to honor his wishes by cremation with no formal service. Gober Funeral Chapel assisted the Halbrooks family with cremation arrangements.
