Rodney T. Nelson – Obituary

Rodney T. Nelson, 51, of Corinth, MS, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Corinth, MS on May 25, 1966 to Travis and Patricia Nelson and graduated from Grace Bible Christian Academy in 1984. He received a degree in Banking and Finance from Bob Jones University and a degree in Accounting from the University of North Alabama. Rodney was a member of Oakland Baptist Church and was the co-owner of Nelson Architectural Electronics. He will be forever remembered in the hearts of his family and friends. Visitation is scheduled for 5 – 8 pm, Thursday, November 30, 2017 and from 12 noon until service time Friday, December 1, 2017 at Magnolia Funeral Home. A home going celebration of Rodney’s life will be held at 2 pm Friday, December 1, 2017 at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories officiated by Bro. Bradley Marlar, Dr. Randy Bostick, and Bro. Donald Sculley. Interment will follow in Forrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers include Kenny Whirley, Bradley Marlar, Chad Marlar, William Weaver, Wendell Nelson, and Ricky Gibens. Billy Bass will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Rodney’s memory include his wife of 25 years: Tanya Beibers Nelson of Corinth, MS; his parents: Travis Tell Nelson and Patricia Newcomb Nelson of Corinth, MS; his father and mother-in-law: Edward C. and Betty Beibers of Ripley, MS; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: J. Hugh and Viola Nelson and by his maternal grandparents: Cecil and Alene Newcomb.
