Rodney Junior Busby, 63, of Jasper, AL passed away peacefully at his home on February 4, 2026.
Rod was a loving father, proud pawpaw, caring uncle, brother, and son. He had a deep love for fishing and hunting arrowheads. He spent many years working as a master plumber. He was dearly loved by his family and will forever be missed.
Rod was preceded in death by Father, Olen Busby, Mother, Nina Busby, and grandparents Estelle Banks, Victoria busy, and Joshua Busby, brother-in-law, Randy Isabell.
He is survived by his daughter Jessica (Joe) Weldon, grandchildren Jessilynn, Jovie, and Jase, sisters Shelia Crider (Mike), Vonda (Junior) Miller, Wanda Busby, and Laura Green, and brothers Bryan Busby, and Leo Busby, and special friend Glenda Allen and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Randall Isbell, Wade Isbell, Buster ‘Carl’ Harris, Brock Tolbert, Johnny Miller, and Kolby Day.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 6, 2026 at Rices Chapel Church at 11 AM. Visitation will begin there at the church at 10 AM. Burial will follow at the adjoining cemetery.
Bell Funeral Home in Sumiton has been entrusted with his arrangements.
