Rodney Earl Cochran, passed away on Sunday, July 5th, 2026 at Northwest Alabama Medical Center in Muscle Shoals, Ala. after a brief illness. He was a proud father, being survived by his daughter Elaina Yvonne Cochran and Drew, son Jamie-Lee Vincent Cochran, and his mother, Esther “Bonnie” Cochran, and leaves other family members. Rod was born Feb. 2, l966. His parents were the late Earl Cochran and Esther Fillmore Calhoun. After High School, he attended Bevill State Community College where he received an AA Degree in Aviation Mechanics. He was a longtime over the road and local truck driver and enjoyed seeing the USA thorough his profession. He loved life, lived large and enjoyed his family and friends. Fishing and dancing were among his hobbies. He was a member of the Cedar Creek Methodist Church near Hackleburg.
A celebration of life will take place at 5 PM Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Cedar Creek Methodist Church with Bro. Elliott Gordon officiating. Visitation will begin at 3 PM at the Church and continue until service time at 5PM. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.
