Rodney Allen Stephens, 58, of a lifelong resident of Huntsville, passed away Saturday, Dec. 23rd. Rodney attended Huntsville High School where he was president of his Junior Class, SGA President and State SGA president his senior year. While at the University of Alabama, Rodney was Pi Kappa Alpha President, Interfraternity Council Pi Kapp Alpha, Senator representing the college of Arts and Sciences and Jason’s Honorary Society. Rodney’s love of animals was never ending and he rescued many homeless ones.
Survivors include his mother, Aldredge Stephens; special cousins, Rhonda Pizitz Ridner; aunt, Velda Pizitz; and uncle, Norman Pizitz. He was preceded in death by his father, Chester W. Stephens and brother, Chester W. Stephens, Jr.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29th, at Maple Hill Cemetery.
