The late Roderick L. Jackson was born to the late Daisy M. Brooks and Woodrow Fennell. Proceeded in death by his grandmother Sarah B. Jackson. He confessed his hope in Christ at a early age and became a member of St. Minor Primitive Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Guntersville High School in 1979, receiving a scholarship at North Carolina A&T. He worked at Hudson Foods which later became Tyson Foods for 25 years. 23 of those years in supervision.
Rod loved the game of football and was a die-hard Auburn Tiger and Dallas Cowboy fan.
He departed his life on Friday, Sept. 26, 2025. He leaves to cherish his memories two sons, Roderick O’Brian Jackson and Corey Griffin (Contessa Griffin). A special cousin whom he favored as a sister, Sara N. Griffin. Eleven grandchildren. Two Aunts, Eddie Mae Simpson, Marvolene Walker all of Guntersville Alabama. An Uncle John L. Fennell (Louise Fennell) of Albertville Alabama. And a host of cousins and friends.
