Rocky Wayne Atkinson, age 35, of Florence, died Friday, Jan. 30, 2015. Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 3, from 10 a.m. until noon at Spry~Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at noon in the funeral home chapel with Brother Gerald Montgomery officiating. Burial will be at Pisgah Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
He was a contractor with Wade Gilchrist Construction.
Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Vernon Joe and Mary Paralee Atkinson; maternal grandfather, John Henry Lard.
Survivors are his wife, Susan Atkinson; mother, Jackie Senn; father, Danny Joe Atkinson (Connie); grandmother, Verna Ruth Lard; children, Jacob Atkinson, Alexis Rutherford, and Breanna Atkinson; sister, Becky Atkinson; brother, Chris Atkinson (Jennifer).
