Rocky Lewis Robinson – son, dad, and friend – departed this world Monday, October 28th, 2024 at 73 years of age.
A Franklin native, he is the son of the late R.L. Robinson and Rentha Hargrove Robinson. He worked at Durango boot factory for many years. Dad loved music, and often spoke about his memories in his band. He played the organ, sang, and would sometimes play the drums.
He held great pride in his family roots, his children, and grandchildren. He treasured his friendships. He was of Baptist faith.
He is survived by lifelong best friend, Tommy Robertson of Spring Hill; sons, Michael Robinson of Franklin, Robert Robinson of Franklin, Quinton (Krystalyn) Robinson of Central Bridge, NY; daughter, Sara (Jeremy) Thompson of Collinwood; five grandsons, Bentley and Manny Robinson, Gunner, Garrett, and Gannon Thompson. He is also survived by longtime friend, Jennifer, who he lovingly referred to as “Stuff”.
Along with his parents, he is preceded into death by his step-mother, Ola-Mae Robinson, granddaughter Emmalyn Robinson, grandson Bo Thompson, longtime friend and neighbor Buzz, and canine companion Ace.
The family would like extend gratitude to Williamson Medical Center and Alive Hospice for the care received in his final days.
Funeral service will be held 1:00PM Saturday, November 9, 2024 with visitation two hours prior to the service at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Daniel Graves will officiate.
