On April 22, 2024, Robin Michael Scheib passed away at the age of 83.
Robin was born on July 18, 1940, in Knoxville, Tennessee. In 1964 he received a B.S. degree in Chemistry from the University of Tennessee. For 30 years he utilized his degree researching fertilizer for the Tennessee Valley Authority in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. He married Relia Hamilton in September 1961 and they raised two children: Rachael and George. Robin later remarried Joy Schmidlkofer and moved to St. Paul, Minnesota, where he helped raise two stepdaughters: Frances and Lynn. Robin also continued to work in research at an optical lab and a chemistry lab.
He had a love of reading, music, history, cooking, and trivia. He often won trivia contests and his family required him to answer every question on a Trivial Pursuit card, not just one question. Robin had a quick mind and a dry sense of humor that he liked to share with everyone. He also enjoyed many years of acting and singing in the local theater in Florence, Alabama.
Robin was preceded in death by his father, Alfred (A.N.), his mother, Lillian, and his brother, Berel. He is survived by his children, Rachael and George, his sister Harriet, and his longtime friend Cecily.
