Roberta R. Hamilton, 93, of Athens, AL peacefully passed away on January 4, 2024, at Benton House Assisted Living, Bluffton, South Carolina. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Athens for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents William G. Robison and Lizzie Mae Phillips Robison
Mrs. Hamilton was a devoted teacher for over 40 years, serving in multiple positions including classroom teacher and guidance counselor.
Mrs. Hamilton is survived by her sons Ray Hamilton (Jan), Dale Hamilton (Lou Ann), grandson Ryan Hamilton, and numerous nieces, nephews, and family friends.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday night, January 10th, 2024, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 11, 2024, with Rev. Tee Jackson officiating. Burial will be at Bottoms Cemetery, Highway 251, Athens, AL.
