Robert Wayne Godsey, 62, of Haleyville, entered into rest on March 24, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Godsey was born on April 21, 1954 in Double Springs, Alabama. Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army for three years.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017 from 2pm-3pm at Pleasant Hill No. 2 Missionary Baptist Church in Ashridge, where memorial services will be held at 3pm. Brother Alvis Treece will officiate.
Robert is survived by his son, Jason Godsey; daughter, Rashea Rivera and her husband Martin; brothers, Edmon Godsey, and his wife Tami, Eugene Godsey, Scottie Godsey, and his wife Charolette, J.L. Godsey and his wife Mary Ellen; sisters, Betty Sue Claborn, and Mary Godsey. He was “Paw Paw” to 2 grandchildren, Rylee Jayden, and Lyla Rae; ex-wife, Lydia Godsey, and special friend Barbara Farthing.
He was preceded in death by his son, Bob Godsey; parents, Inas and Coralee Godsey; brothers, Tommy, Larrie, Roy, and Terry Godsey.
