Robert Wayne Davis, Sr., born on September 13, 1954, in Marshall County, Tennessee, to the late Willard Wiley Davis and Elizabeth Bowens Davis, peacefully passed away on September 17, 2023, in Columbia, Tennessee. He was a devoted husband to Brenda Hay Davis and a loving father to two sons, Robert Wayne Davis, Jr. and Curtis Lee Davis.
Robert’s heart overflowed with love for his cherished grandchildren: Jayden Davis, Jaylon Davis, Autumn Clair Davis, and Alies Wayne Davis. He also leaves behind his three siblings: Tommy Davis, Brenda Foster, and Judy Foster, along with a stepson, Shannon Michael Pope. Robert is preceded in death by his son, Justin Wade Davis, and his other siblings.
Robert found immense joy in the company of his adored grandbabies. In his moments of relaxation, he could be found reclining in his favorite chair, remote in hand, watching Westerns and immersing himself in the cowboy lifestyle he loved. In the community, he was known as “Bigun” on the CB radio, which brought him great entertainment and camaraderie.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with a service commencing at 12:00 PM. Robert will find his final resting place at Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers for this farewell journey are Nicky Bradford, Adam Bratton, Taylor Deridder, John Stewart, Josh Roland, and Jayden Davis.
