Robert Wayne Chowning

Age 81 of White House went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at NHC in Springfield. He was born February 6, 1941 in White House, TN to Joe D. & Earline Hornberger Chowning. He worked in construction for Summit Construction until his retirement. He was of the Methodist faith. He loved spending time outdoors, farming, gardening and watching his purple martin houses. He enjoyed antique tractors, listening to bluegrass music and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Margaret Chowning, who preceded him only 127 days ago; sister, Joann Cook. He is survived by his sons, Tim (Pam) Chowning and Terry (Melonie) Chowning, both of White House, TN; 4 grandchildren, Spencer (Abigayle) Chowning, Clayton Chowning, Mason Chowning and Makayla Chowning. A Graveside service and interment is scheduled for Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 1pm in White House Memorial Gardens with Pastor Johnny Farmer and Pastor Joshua Culver officiating. and with Tim Chowning, Terry Chowning, Spencer Chowning, Clayton Chowning, Mason Chowning, Lanny Chowning, Darrell Chowning and Kenny Ray Chowning serving as pallbearers.
