Robert Terrell Farmer, age 92 of Winchester, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at Bailey Manor. He was born in Elora, Tennessee on July 29, 1931, to the late Ernest Arvil and Hellice Marie (Garner) Farmer. Terrell served his country in the United States Air Force and Air National Guard. Before his retirement, he had been employed at AEDC as an electrical operator. When he was able, Terrell enjoyed playing golf and working on TVs and treadmills, as well as going on walks, watching races at Winchester Speedway, and going to the Franklin County Senior Citizens Center. But most of all, he cherished the time spent with his beloved family and loved planning family vacations. Terrell had an interest in helping the community that he loved so much. He was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Farmer; and brothers, Dwight Farmer, Clarence Farmer, and Leland Farmer. Terrell is survived by his children, Janice (Ronnie) Ray, Linda Simpson (Mark) Gass, and Betsy (Drew) Pearson; grandchildren, Melony (Jim) Malone, Misty (Chris) Moses, Joshua (Brittany) Simpson, and Jacob (Taylor) Simpson; great-grandchildren, Kaylee (Alex) Noles, Hunter (Allie) Thomas, Hannah Thomas, and Camden Simpson; great-great-grandson, Owen Noles; brother, Edwin (Edie) Farmer; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 11am-12:30 pm on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 pm at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
