Robert Ted Haas, a beloved figure in both his family and in his community, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2024, at the age of 92. Born on August 7, 1931, in Burlington, Iowa. Teed led a life characterized by dedication, service, and unwavering faith.

After serving his country with honor in the Army from 1952 tthrough1953, Ted embarked on a remarkable career at Redstone Arsenal, where he contributed his talents from January 1957 until February 1993. His commitment to excellence and his innovative spirit left an indelible mark on his profession and those he works with.

Beyond his professional achievements, ted was known for his deep devotion to his faith and his role as a Sunday School teacher in the community. His Adult Bible Study lessons taught with passion and faithfulness, impacted the lives of many at Huntsville Bible Church.

Ted’s greatest source of pride and joy, however, was his family. He was married to the love of his life, Alvera Haas, for an incredible 71 years. Together, they raised three children, TIM (Phyllis), Tracy (Mark Cooper), and Teresa (Mike Keel), and formed a legacy of love, integrity, and strength. Ted is survived by his sister, Diane Lehew, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, all of whom cherished him dearly.

In the hearts of those who knew him, Ted will be remembered for his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering faith. His legacy of love and service will continue to inspire generations to come.
