Robert Simpson Brown Jr. of Athens passed away Friday August 21,2015 at the age of 73 at his residence. He was born November 21, 1941 to Robert Simpson Brown Sr. and Myram Bertha Duggar Brown in San Diego, California.
Services will be Wednesday August 26, 2015 at 1:00PM at Emmanuel Baptist Church. There will be a visitation following the funeral. The body will then be sent to Salem, Missouri to be buried in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Dr. Dan Hughes, Rev. Ron Oakley, Rev. Charles Bagwell and Rev. Daniel Metcalfe will be officiating.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Simpson Brown Sr. and Myram Bertha Duggar Brown.
Robert is survived by his wife Marlene Brown of Athens, one son, Robert S Brown III (Debra) of Owens Mill, Maryland, and one daughter Sarah Metcalfe (Daniel) of Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Anna Metcalfe, Ruthie Metcalfe, Grant Metcalfe, Joshua Metcalfe and Sophie Brown.
He was an active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
