Robert “Robbie” W. Turner, Jr., born February 21, 1974, 46, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 17, 2000.

Robbie had a great love for the Lord and shared with everyone.  He treasured his salvation and today he is present with the Lord.

He graduated from Calhoun Community College with two degrees and earned a baseball scholarship at Martin Methodist University.  He was an exceptional baseball player, and he loved fishing, animals, and sports.

Robbie always had a smile on his face and loved people even to the point of giving up what he had to help them.  He was not a selfish person.  Robbie was always talking to others about God and encouraging them. He loved the Lord, loved God’s people, and loved His lost treasure.  Robbie attended The Rock Family Worship Center and was active in the Wonder Works children ministry.  He was a founding member of Celebrate Recovery at The Rock and also was a counselor at Restoration Ranch.

He is survived by his parents, Robert and Kandy Turner, Sr., of Franklin,TN; brother, Matthew (Stephanie) Turner, of Columbia, TN; and a sister, Dawna (Brad) Turner Mullins, of Franklin, TN; nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his Aunt Lucille Turner whom he loved dearly.

There will be a receiving of friends on Sunday, August 23, 2000 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home followed by a memorial service at 2:00 with Pastor Matt Tidmore officiating.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Rock Church to Celebrate Recovery.
