Robert Reynolds Orr – Obituary

Robert Reynolds Orr, 94, of Huntsville, AL passed away Saturday. He was a graduate of Ramsey High School, Birmingham, AL. He volunteered for the Army Air Corp and piloted a B-29 in the Pacific Theater and Pilot instructor at Keesler Field, Biloxi, MS. After the war ended he graduated from the University of Alabama in Mechanical Engineering. Employed and retired from the Redstone Arsenal, Research and Development, Patriot Project and Deputy Director Metrology and Calibration Center. He was a faithful follower of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and a member of Calvary Bible Church, Huntsville, AL.

Preceded in death by loving wife Katherine Orr and survived by daughters Cynthia Orr Daughtride King and husband W. Richard King, and Patricia Orr Hughes all of Huntsville; son Robert Reynolds Orr Jr and wife Amy Thomas Orr of Vestavia Hills, Birmingham, AL and grandsons, Parker Garrett Hughes, Stephen Daniel Daughtridge Jr, Shawn David Daughtridge, Davis Reynolds Orr, James Robert Orr, Christopher Thomas Orr and John Andrew Orr.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Thursday at Calvary Bible Church, 607 Drake Av Huntsville AL. The funeral service will follow with Byron Bradshaw officiating.  Burial will be in the Valhalla Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
