Robert Reese “Pepper” Rudder, 79 of Arab passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025, at his residence. He was born July 9, 1946 in South Carolina, the son of Robert Clinton Rudder and Grace Rodrick Rudder. He was a graduate of Aiken High School in Aiken, South Carolina, served his country with honor and courage in the United States Navy and was retired from Solutia. He was married to Lois Dover Rudder, who passed away June 23, 2022.
He is survived by son: Reese Rudder; daughters: Betsy Russell and Tina Johnson (Larry); brother: Eddie Rick Montgomery (Caroline); host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife: Lois Rudder; daughter: Selina Owens, son: John Waldrop and a brother: Rodney Montgomery.
In accordance with his preferences, there was no formal service. He was laid to rest alongside his wife, Friday, September 12, 2025, at the New Home Cemetery.
