Robert Randal Sporleder, lovingly known as “Randy,” passed away on July 27, 2025, at the age of 64. A true outdoorsman, Randy found joy and peace in nature—especially through hunting and fishing. His deep love for the outdoors was matched only by the love he had for his family and his loyal German shepherds, Brisket and Sheba.
Randy is survived by his mother, Shirley Cochran; his brother, Ronald Sporleder; and his beloved daughter, Carol Anne Hopper (Chris). He was a proud and devoted “PopPop” to his grandchildren Elijah, Lora Jane, and Charlotte Hopper, who brought him immeasurable joy. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Joseph Sporleder.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 31, at Lake Guntersville State Park Buckeye Pavilion from 5:00 – 7:00pm.
Randy will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, kind heart, and the deep love he shared with his family, both two- and four-legged.
