Funeral service for Robert Paul Beatty, age 86, of Hartselle, will be Saturday, December 8, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Doug Ripley and Rev. Bob Cyphers officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 7, 2012, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Beatty, who died Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at Summerford Nursing Home, was born July 15, 1926, in Ohio, to Corwin Elmer Beatty and Ethel Lane Beatty.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Gohl Beatty of Hartselle; four sons, David Mark Beatty (Cherie) of Grand Saline, TX, Timothy Jon Beatty (Sandy) of Fairfax, VA, Kristin James Beatty (Suk) of Orlando, FL, and Kevin Michael Beatty (Jennifer) of Decatur; one daughter, Paula Jeryl Beatty of Ashville, NC; two brothers, Harlowe Beatty and Clyde Beatty, both of Springfield, OH; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be sons and grandsons.
