Funeral service for Robert Moore, 54, of Florence, will be Sunday November 13, 2016 at 3:00PM at Peck Funeral Home with Bro. Chad Hess officiating and Eulogy by Max Townson. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday November 13, 2016 from 1:00 PM until 2:45 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Moore died November 10, 2016 at his Residence. He was born July 29, 1962 in Hartselle to J.P. Moore and Patsy Townson Moore Bonner. He worked for Mitco in Sales. Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his father, J.P. Moore, and brother, James Paul Moore.
Robert was a follower of Christ and was a member of Woodmont Baptist Church; he was loved by all who knew him. He was an outstanding football player. Robert was part of State Championship teams with Hartselle High School, where he is a member of the Hartselle Athletic Hall of Fame. He kept playing football at the next level and attended the University of North Alabama; he also played on two Gulf South Conference Championship teams. “Big Mo” still holds record of five sacks in a single game.
With his infectious smile, his warm hearted loving spirit showed through. Robert was passionate about God, his family, friends, UNA, Alabama, Miami Dolphin football and Grilling and cooking. Anyone who met Robert was certainly blessed. He will be greatly missed!
