Mr. Robert Mack Varnadore, 89, of Harvest, passed away on February 14, 2018. Mr. Varnadore was a retired FAA Air Traffic Controller. He was a loving, kind, hardworking and humble family man who took time to care for other people. He was always quick to lend a helping hand to family and friends. He was an active person, which included a Pilates class weekly, up to the time his illness overtook him two months ago. He was a great example to his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughters, Katherine Imsand (Bruce), Karina Varnadore (Ron Sell, fiancé); brothers, Harry Varnadore and Tommy Varnadore; grandchildren, Joshua Brandon, Stephen Brandon (Jessica) and Justin Varnadore; step-grandchildren, Eric Imsand (Laurie), Erin Imsand (Joseph Olivier, fiancé) and Ashley Hunt (Ben); and his wonderful great-grandchildren, Isaac, Elliott, Harper, Lilah, Addison and Judah.
He was preceded in death five years ago by his wife of 60 years, Loretta. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Maggie Varnadore; sisters, Mary Chaplin, Amelia Helms and Donice Varnadore.
Visitation will be from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17th, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Larry Wright officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Alzheimer’s Foundation and The American Cancer Society.
